Over 100 American History and Advanced Placement History students experienced an educational trip to Gettysburg. The students completed assignments according to their class including: historical speech analysis, battlefield strategy and reflection, and even a scavenger hunt of historically significant artifacts. The students spent the morning at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum. At the museum, the students viewed the film, “A New Birth of Freedom,” visited the cyclorama, and explored the 11 exhibits about the Civil War. In the afternoon, the students visited the battlefield experiencing the order in which the Battle occurred. Civil War experts including Gettysburg College students and Certified Battlefield tour guides led the students on a guided tour.
