Sixth graders in Mrs. Starner’s science class recently used artificial intelligence as they were learning how animals must adapt to their environments in order to survive. The students were tasked with creating their own ideal species for specific environments. They utilized the Canva Magic Media AI Generator to create visuals of their new species. Students worked on creating specific AI prompts that included the animal traits and behaviors that would allow their animal to survive. As is typical with AI, the students learned to revise their prompts until they were able to create the exact image they wanted. The images created brought new understanding to the importance of an animal’s physical structure when it comes to survival. Click on the links below to check out a few of the animals created!
