Adult Crossing Guards The school district has mapped out walking routes to each elementary building. The elementary school routes are supervised by paid adult crossing guards who walk with the children to and from school to cross them at intersections and make sure the children arrive safely. At the middle school, Adult Crossing Guards do not walk routes. They are posted at the intersections to stop traffic so the children may cross the streets safely near the school. Many older citizens and parents who are at home during the day have elected to become crossing guards. If you are interested in serving the community as a guard, apply to the Hanover Public School District. Adult crossing guards are supervised by the Hanover Police Department and the Hanover Public School District. Please check individual school web pages for building walk-line schedules and crossing guard locations. Clearview Elementary Hanover Street Elementary Washington Elementary Hanover Middle School
