Another great year in the world of ARty (Accelerated Reader)! Scores soared with the addition of Renaissance Place, the web-based version of Accelerated Reader, to all schools! On June 3rd and June 4th elementary students who achieved record points in each school received trophies at the all-school assemblies. Congratulations to these fourth graders! Who will be the ARty Achievers next year????
Jim McMahon and Bonnie Nail were recognized at a luncheon this week at the York Fair grounds. Each year the Hanover Area Association of Retired Teachers recognizes a professional staff member and support staff member from one of four area schools that go over and beyond the call of duty. Jim is a reading specialist at HMS and Bonnie is a teaching assistant working primarily with the ELL students at HHS. Both have done an outstanding job this year and have made a tremendous impact on many students.
